anyone put a short shifter in their car?
I'm considering doing it, if you have done it or know of it being done, is their much mechanical knowledge involved?
or anyone got a tech doc for fittment?
or should I make one as I go?
I imagine it would be the same as just taking out and putting back in the standard shifter, would I be right in saying that?

please help and advise.

tell a lie, it does fit XF - BA didn't read properly.
Isn't that the type of thing you mean? it says it reduces throw by 40%..

bought one from race parts australia, steeda tri axe, was $375 + postage, fitted my self.
watch the gear knob thread though heaps bigger than standard, 1/2 unc i think, had to drill out plastic bush on boot to get thread through.
Makes a huge difference, still some times hard to get in first and second once stopped though and reverse can be a prick?

So i'm guessing that doovelacki reduces throw by having a shorter stick?
{DESCRIPTION}
still can't see how they can charge more than 100 bucks for that...
