IN da fairlane, the pedal sink halfway to the floor, then from there is very spongy to the floor. i have barely any brakes, and can't work out why.

Rotors have plenty of thickness, could they be warped?
Possibly brake booster, could it be that?
I currently have my handbrake disconnected...would no handbrake have anything to do with it?
At the Drags, i couldn't even pull a burnout, in a 5lt!!! Normally it will with ease, but all it does is push foward, the brakes arent holding and im about to replace the master again. Any ideas?

Did you bleed the master before you installed it?

Also are all your caliper slides free or jammed? This is a very common problem. Lube the slides with lithium based gease only. Bentone based Wheel bearing grease turns to soap and makes the slides jam again. I found this out the hard way.

yep, bled everything, and ive pulled all the calipers apart, and greased them...dunno what it is, but i can't be stuffed dragging it to a garage.

I too have a NC fairlane (4.0). I have replaced evrything EXCEPT the booster. I had (may still) a low peddle. I have only done the backs last weekend. My girlfriend drives the car everyday and says it feel lots better already.

I too rebuild the front callipers and it still felt crap. I had the new rotors remachined (which showed almost zero runout) and looked at the calipers again. They were jammed on the slides. This made the pistons travel too far due to the lever action that was now occuring. You should be able to slide them with your hand easily.

The handbrake will have no effect on peddle feel.

Apparently the ABS system will make the peddle feel slightly spongy anyhow.

I am also going to make a brace to stop the master/booster/firewall from flexing which should help peddle feel.

So, u think it was where the calipers slide on the bolts, it's sticking? i did notice that...what did u use to fix it?

I cleaned them out very well, including the rubber bits. I then sanded/smoothed off any nicks on the slides. I then lubed them with a lithium based general purpose grease. It should be silver or grey looking in colour regardless of brand.
