So I got an 04 ba future sedan from a local dealer and before I purchased it I pointed out a few things I needed them to fix,worst being a rather loud and solid knock that seems to be coming from the front right side.after a few looks they identified a stuffed centre bearing in the tail shaft and replaced that as well as the uni and had it all balanced by ford,they also greased a front calliper that was playing up
But The noise remains..it seems to materialise from a dead stop if I accelerate a touch hard and the more I drive the worst it gets.at first I thought engine mount but I'm not sure as im starting to hear it the odd time when I hit a bump,so I'm leaning towards control arm.. Any ideas at a guys? Cheers |

I would suggest either control arm bush or radius arm bush.

Could also be the good old loose steering rack trick.

Deadset if Phillip Hughes could duck and weave like this dealer he would still be alive
They are saying it's something to do with a rubber at the tranny that absorbs the shock from hard acceleration and as it's not a safety issue they aren't going to fix it |

Update......I've had my trusted mechanic look at it and it seems the noise is a rear noise but transferring to the front..so he has checked all rear bushes,changed diff oil,tighten all bolts it noise still remains..funnily enough the diff has been opened before so I'm wondering if it's an internal problem..

So the saga continues...I've had front and rear shocks, rear trailing arm control blades, front swaybar bushes, caliber slides lubed and the noise still remains
I'm about to burn it and I've sent it to three mechanics, I give up.... |

Sway Bar Rubber? - Very common on E-Series - perhaps same on B Series?
