i just got a car but i have noticed a cluncking noise in the back driver side of my car... i thought it was the axle but i replaced that and it is still making the noise.. my car is a ford falcon EA... just wandering for a little help.... thanks

Check for worn shockers, shock bushes and rear trailing arm bushes.

well tasha it sounds like it may be a shock absorber or the rubber bushes in the control arms if it is that fix all the parts not just part of.

Forgot to add... check the torque on the lower shock mount bolts, if they come loose they can also clunk.

Yeh i have the same problem lol im just too lazy to do anything about it, not to mention the poor girls off the road atm with clutch release lever being a bit d**k

id say in my case it is most definetly worn bushes on the trailing arms, knocking as the car comes back UP
