isn't 180km/h enough for someone so young, stupid and inexperienced. The Limiter can easily be removed, but I am not telling how.
The tailshaft is not really capable of holding together at speeds much higher than 180, which is why this is what the speed limiter is set to.

Onn public streets, you cannot legally go faster than 110km/h (130 in NT), so 180 is more than sufficient.

That being said, a standard EF is not capable of much faster than 180 anyway. My EF had a top speed of 213 km/h, and this was auto with a 3.08 s/s.

the benefit is not worth the risk

and with the limiter it will hit 180 then the revs will drop just above 1g and coast at 180...

Tell him how to do it, he won't be posting much s**t soon.

thats in an auto. I have no doubts that a manual would hit 230kmhr+ stock without much drama at all.

And honestly Che16 when you decide to give 180 a go, and kill somebody... make sure its yourself. Not some innocent prick that doesn't deserve it. Your 16 for christ sake.

Oh and i agree with PIMP_LTD.... by a holden.

if my old bog stock CFI 5-speed EA could do 215km/h, then an EF would hit it no dramas. that was back when i drove like a f**k... im glad those days are gone.

got to admit i took the speed limiter out of my ef auto and got to 230kph. i would strongly advise you che16 its a stupid idea. i have grown up working on cars and driving cars my whole life my brother has a 500hp rx3 my dad has a lotus super 7 that will scare the s**t out of most ppl. all this said i have grown up around fast cars and it really isnt worth trying top do over 180 in your falcon. it gets really scary every little bump feels like your car is about to fall apart, and your car makes alot of noises it shouldnt be making.

please for other drivers dont remove it. your only 16 and you make think your a good driver and all that but you dont have the experiance to get your self out of trouble.

just my opinion.

you can but theres no point as ppl have stated, if you do stupid stuff on the street you will learn the hard way, i would advise go down the drags or to dragtag apparently they have a HUGE burnout pad to do the stuff you wanna do.

He said that once you hit the limiter at 180 the revs drop - I'd like to see a manual do that.

(not talking about it bouncing off the limiter either)

ur an idiot mate. it was only yesterday wen i took my ef gli turbo for a spin to see if it had the limiter on after having the microtech installed. i got just on 220kmh wen i felt a slight vibration just b4 a backed off there was a huge bang followd by a fuking large vibration that shook the whole car. pretty fuking scary at 200. i looked in the mirror and my car was belching smoke. i slowd down and shut it off and rolled to a stop. i jumped out checked under the bonnet. everything looked fine. looked around the car and the rear bumper was soaked in atf. i went for a walk up the road following the 200m trail of fluid and found 2 pieces of the extension housing. 2day i jaked it up and removed the tailshaft. i then pulled off wat was left of the extension housing and seen the rear of the gearbox housing was cacked and 1 large piece fell off. gearbox was rooted.

just imagine of all the bad s**t that cud of happend, like that huge tailshaft hitting the road. wudnt of been a pretty picture.
so make sure ur cars in A1 condition b4 u start doing high speeds.

heres a cuple of picks

and actually the limiter is exactly the same with manuals, even puting a switch on ur speedo sender or changing down/up gears makes no difference. its only african xr6's that hav no limiter and 190 for gli's
