the sender wont be a problem. the gear on the end will be the problem. you may need to go up or down a few teeth.

The auto EB in the shed has a 3.27. Is it the same unit, and will it fit in a 5-speed?

yes it will fit, it just might give you a wrong speed reading thats all

I get what you're asking
All speedo senders are the same, auto or manual But like Leroy said it's the gear on the end that's the problem. Little plastic thing, that depending on colour, has a different amount of teeth to provide correct speed reading. Use the speedo calc on Tech Docs.

Well since we put a 3.27 in the EA, and the EB is a 3.27 I assume it will be the right one. A light green one (hopefully).
Cheers. |

You do realise you can just take the plastic gear off the end of the speedo sender?
Also use the speedo calc http://www.fordmods.com/forums/documents.php?doc=30 to find out for sure. You can get em from Fraud for like $10 if you need another one.

the gears should be the same ratio if the colour is the same.
