OUCH!
That sucks man!
I didn't realise you were even doing these ECU mods until I just saw you post in the dyno thread.

How much testing did you get down before it let go ?
I'd be more interested in upping the rev limiter than the speed limiter

rev limiter was successful, it runs (ran?) beautifully at 6250 kept making power too.

Now no one else needs to do this, it's been done.

Now does anyone know if an XR6T BTR box will bolt up to an e-series ??? If so it'd be great, I'll get one of those.

Well me thinks not to drive my car at 180km+ anymore even though she has being past it numerous times as the previous owner would do Randwick to the Goldcoast in 9-10 hours :(
I have done the trip from Canberra to my house in 2hrs 35mins & watched my mate flash his high beams whilist I was at 190km just past Mauralan as his gearbox s**t it self (ET pulsars arent built for HIGH CONSTANT SPEED) & not only that I have hardly any points left so I dont speed.

I don't suppose you got any video/audio ?
Fingers crossed you get it going by the dyno day, I'd like to hear how it sounds at 6250 :)
(followed in the future by hearing my own car rev to 6250  )

You have no interest in switching to a manual box ??

You can dump my EF manual ECU if you haven't already got one.

That's REALLY bad luck about the tail shaft :(
How many people have bought XR ECUs and fitted them to cars with standard tail shafts without any problem.

Dyno read 192KM/H at the break point. I though engineers gave 30% tolerance.

well im happy that mine is limited to 180 cos after seeing all this i think im lcuky to be alive cos when i was younger and reallly stupid i drove my eb for about 8 hours off the clock all i did was stop for fuel when i was travelling from tomprice to perth. i could feel a vibration which i asumed was the tail shaft and engine and gearbox from so high of revs. some times these days i dont even get to 110 when i travel fuel cost to much to speed.!!!!

Saw an EB tailshaft (Jakes - the dyno shop) had one, it was double walled! Much better construction than my stockie. :(
