The speedo gear is in the side of the gearbox, best to take it to someone so that they can calibrate diff gears and tyre height to have speedo reading right.

if you've got a speedo gear from the other car with it calibrated for the 3.7 diff, and the same wheel diameter, just get that, and replace yours. Its on the (from memory) passenger side of the gearbox.

Cheers

not sure bout tyres. I have 17" rims with 235*45's, the old car from memory had 16" with 2??*50 i think. the tyres were bigger than mine from memory

I was under the impression 3.7s needed electronic correction for the speedo?

IF you dont want to do the speedo gear (which is the best way to go though), jaycar make an electronic speedo sender cable interupter which can be used to correct the speedo. check out www.jaycar.com.au and do a search.
