gday all
when i brake and go over bumps i can hear a sqeak in the front end.
first assumption is that the shocks are gooone or maybe some bushes are gone.
if anyone has a similar story could u shed some light on what could be wrong.

cheers

To confirm or discount the shocks, lean on the corners of the car and see if it squeaks when it 'rebounds'. Also keep an eye out on the rebound, if the shocks are good it should come back up and settle quickly, not bounce up and then back down a little and settle.

I've had/got a few sounds in my front suspension, but the shocks etc are all fine, so I've come to the conclusion it's the bushes.

I managed to pop one of my sway bar bolts out under hard cornering/braking a few weeks ago, and since then i've got the similar issue.. squeeking under brakes (and when I come back off brakes), some cornering and speedhumps/driveways.

2 (13mm?) bolts each side to do the D rubbers, and a couple of 10mm nuts to do the swaybar links each side. Easy stuff.

You can buy new swaybar links (incl bushes) from Ford for approx $14each side :P
