Hi ppl ,
my EL2XR8 is due for a suspension overhaul so I'll be purchasing a set of bilsteins with kings springs soon. I'll be doing the work myself but have a couple of question in regards to the standard EL2XR8 ride height and which springs to choose. It appears that the rear of the EL sits much higher than the front and because I already scrape the exhausts sometimes I'd like to keep the front much the same height as it already is, in other words I'd like to level the car out a bit by lowering the rear. Would this mean I would be using superlows for the rear and lows for the front , or would a new set of shocks solve this problem ?. thanks in advance , Glenn |

Like buying a race horse and feeding it garden weeds. Unless of course your XR8 is a cruiser/tourer. XR8beast wrote: I'd like to level the car out a bit by lowering the rear
Don't drop to much lower in the rear compared to the front as you'll loose handling due to lack of rake, again unless it's a cruiser/tourer. I'm pretty sure dc todd found that a pair of standard Tickford front springs and Lovells sports low rear springs gave his old XR (RIP!) good handling and stance. |

I'd say yes. My XR8 is sitting on lows and my XR6 which still has standard shocks and springs is much higher.
