You can buy the rack ends only from BURSONS for around $40 a pair. They may not fix your shaking problem but if you have a clunk in the steering when engine running it may fix that. A quick test is to cut the zip tie on the inner of the boot the peel them back to expose the ball joint on the rack end. With engine running (needs power assist for test) have some one jerk the steering wheel back and forth while you check for play in the joint. Your problem may be as simple as an out of round tyre or wheel shimmy due to poor alignment.

I had a MAJOR shake through the streering wheel in my wagon.
I replaced the camber kit, and got new wheels and it sorted it all out.

I had a terrible shudder when going hard though turns, mechanics said
it was fine and I should't drive that fast.

When lowering the car I found that the Front shocks were actually loose.
The Shuddering never returned...

Blazing - try different wheels (they could be buckled), and also check your rotors.

Are the wheel bearings done up tight? A little bit of play in them will give you a vibrating steering wheel, specially if you have 17" rims and solid low profile rubber.

And did they definately replace the front lower control arm bush?

Yes the wheel bearings are done up tight and bearings were changed not long ago either.

Rims can't be buckled there not that old there roh 17's.

Its been to pedders and all they said from there how ever many point check thing that all the bushes were rooted so i got a nolathane performance kit from alted and got that put in.

So yeah im stuck now?

what tyres are you running?
seen an au with an defect tyre, looked perfect balanced up great on rim but always had a shudder, went away after he kept going back to the tyre place and they tried different tyres.

Every EF/EL ive had makes a slight clicking noise just off centre when you move the wheel side to side.

If its a loud knock, it could be the outer tie rod ends. Just taking the wheel off and looking at them will tell you if they are gone. Rubber boot broken or worn. The shaft in it has a little too much free play.

Or as someone has suggested the ball joints... But someone correct me if I'm wrong, you will only get noise from them if the suspension is moving/braking and the joint is unloaded.

Yeah my EL wagon fair shakes the steering wheel( it knocks loudly also) under heavy braking from 110kph, normal 50 -80kph braking it's fine.
I can feel a small amount of play in the steering colunm around the adjustment lock area, anyone replaced this bearing or whatever is there?
Hope to start checking the rack and suspension for loose items, so any more things to check would be welcome.

The bearing that attatches to the firewall for the steering column is common to wear, replaced mine around a year ago made a difference but also need rack ends replaced.
