Got the steering rack repaired yesterday and a front end alignment. Steering wheel is still off centre - when wheel is dead centre, car pulls to the left a little. Tyre pressure is at 36 psi. How can this be fixed?

Usually a cars alignment is made to drift off to the left on purpose so that you don't get into the way of oncoming cars if you fall asleep behind the wheel.

I would get the steering wheel removed and reinstalled if you have had your front wheels aligned and balanced if you want it perfect.

some tyres have alot of directional pull. perhaps try rotating your tyres front to rerar and see how that goes

Someone's spun you a line. The alignment should be done to run straight, otherwise you will have an increase in tyre wear. The reason the car still drifts off to the left should only be due to the camber in the road. camh1980 if the steering wheel is crooked after an alignment, take the car back to where you got it done. This is just sloppy work, ie wheels were aligned with steering wheel crooked.

that's the silliest thing I have ever heard - if you are on a flat road (ie no camber) your car should go dead straight if you take your hands (and knees ) off the wheel
