My transmission needs a rebuild and i might as well build it stronger to handle my new engine. However everyone is telling me you cant strengthen these transmissions?. Im pretty sure you can get stronger bands or something?. I had prices ranging from $1200-$2200 for a transmission rebuild, but i want to rebuild the BTR to handle about 250rwk comfortably. What modifications do i need to make to support this sort of power or is rebuilding the trans to stock specifications with a shift kit and larger trans cooler ok?

DTM transmission or MV Automatics are the people to speak to.

DTM have developed everything inhouse for the BTR and u will be looking at 3k for a full house BTR plus converter from DTM.
