Just thought I’d post some pics of the strengthening I did to my pedal box (not sure if it’s anything new, but might help someone).
Basically added extra weld to the pin, also welded a plate on the back, then drilled and tapped a thread into the pin and made a bracket going to the top of the pedal box. The aim was to give the pin another anchor point, rather than just one side.

any bit of info helps mate, i'm sure someone will see it and use it.
the pic i've uploaded is previous to having touched it, i dont have any after pics, which is a shame. but, with mine, i bent it back to shape, welded it, grinded it back and made up a piece of flat 6mm iron, and grinded out the link bit and shaped it to suit. i then drilled a couple of extra holes, welded them, and also right around the iron plate, and to date i have not had a problem. Yeah, twin point attachements are way better.
