Great find Ranga85! I've ordered one and should arrive very soon.

My mechanic found nothing obvious...fork fingers were fine...I let him install the cable this time and adjust everything.

Clutch feels softer and pedal is closer to the floor so maybe I've been running the cable too taught?

Will update with the new thinga-mi-bob installed (insulator fork)

when I bought my ea it had a second hand welsh plug in place of the insulator and it served it's purpose for a very long time. I would check the cable routing as phong mentioned. I've spun clutches and rebuilt firewalls but never snapped a cable.

Anyone know how the clutch fork insulator comes out?
Max Ellery's manual is very vague...

cut/break the tabs and should slide out. I think I just hammered mine with a chisel

There isn't another way?

Just to clarify, the 4 tabs at the hook end? Not the 2 that look like a rod through the back end?
