has anybody put superlows on an EL fairmont that could tell me how stiff the new springs are and whether they would compress over the tyre much? At the moment with a lot of weight in the car going over large bumps i sometimes rub the right rear tyre. Im running pretty stocky bridgestone turanzas, 15inch, 225s. Just wondering with the car lowered two inches whether i would have even more rubbing.
Help would be appreciated
Cheers! :D

I can't see how your car would be rubbing with standard springs, unless your carrying a tonne of stuff in the boot. Unless your shocks are stuffed.

I had pedders superlows on one of my old cars and it was a pretty rough ride but it handles around corners like a dream. Scraped a fair bit on driveways and speedhumps, and sometimes at 100km/hr going over rough road it would hit the bump stops. Heres a photo of how low it sat...

what sort of shockers did you go with? and did the front need camber kits or anything like that?

I bought it like that and never changed it, think the standard shocks were in it. Would have been a little bit better ride if i had of had shorter shocks.

I recommend a camber kit, i've got one on mine even with standard EL XR suspension which is equivalent to 'lows', just so you dont have uneven tyre wear. Not essential though if you can't afford it.

Depends how much you want to fork out, if your on a budget, go for kings or pedders, otherwise if you can afford a bit more go with whiteline springs and KYB shocks, they seem to be the good stuff but a few more $$$
