hey folks
the upper suspension arm bushes on my ed fairmont have gone
i can move the wheel around like the bearings are gone :lol:
not good
also the 1 at the end of it is gone also

whats the best way to change these as ive been told there a pressed item

i was going to take the 1 out of an ea as there fairly new
are these the same?

The bushes aren't in the arm itself, but in the mount brackets, if you haven't got cam\cas kits in already, nows the time to do it.

yes the bushes are in the mount brackets.
and can be removed from your ea and fitted to your ed..

i take it the bushes are not a part of the arm then
i thought they were
wats the bexst process to correctly change this all over
i mean its not a big job but just wanna make sure theres no sneaks i gotta watch out for

As above, the bushes are in the upper control arm mounts, aka 'camber kits' as they end up being called.

all you need to do is undo the 2 top bolts that go throught the upper control arm pull the arm out towards you and you will see the mounting brackets with the bushes in them.
then on the otherside of the inner guard(in the engine bay)there are 4 nuts that you undo (2 on each bracket) and the mounting brackets can be removed..

troy no's the 1's i mean
up the very top in the wheel arch

so i take the arm off and then i gotta take the mounts off and the bushes are in there hten?

seems people are startin to get the s**t a lil cus i dont understand everything

aint we all here to learn an help 1 another
i wont bother askin for help no more as i normally get f**k up responses
thanks to troy an those with a positive attitude who helped
sorry im suck a dumb f*ck thart doesnt no it all so thought it would be good idea to ask the pros an fellow club members
but bit hard to do now anyways seein as all my tools went walkin
so i might aswell just burn the car as bein up the mountains no1 wants to help cus im to far away an rego is due this week so f*ck it

Whoa. Calm down! No one was really abusing you, from what I read.

That sucks about your tools. I'd say ask the nearest mechanic how much he'd do it for. Make sure you tell them if it's too much, you'll just scrap the car and not bother.

Do you need this job to be done in order to renew your rego? If not, why not just renew it, buy more tools later and do it then. You're gonna need new tools sooner or later anyway.

sorry
i never said any1 was abusin me
just heaps down atm
sick of all these car an money problems
its not easy for people 2 just randomly go out and buy al new tools now is it
and i aint payin a mecahic to do my car when i no i can do it myself
the only thing a mechanic has ever done for me is an engine rebuild on my hsv an thats it all the rest in my life i have done with guidance from more experienced people
and i coulndnt have just renewed rego then fixed the problem as i needed it to get a pink slip as its a major issue
an we all no without a pinky there si no rego

anywasy sorry i lost it a lil just had a lot goin on an then the other dayt had the bushes go badly an i lost control an nearly wrote the car off cus a rear tyre exploded coming home causiing the car to go into a frenzyed spin
so i was not happy but hurt

thanks for all the support and help an advice from u all especially troyman

just seems like its 1 problem after another but another appears b4 i can fix the last 1
