Hey Guys

Today i took my ef fairmont to pedders for that 28 point suspension check cause the suspension doesnt feel right anyway the guy is like the only things we can find are

worn front upper bushes
worn front radius bushes
worn rear upper bushes
worn rear lower bushes
worn sway bar bushes links and d bushes
and no bump stops

now the quote he gave me to do all that was $1100 and thats the cheapest he could do it

now is this a rip off or this actually a decent price and could i do this myself basically

Cheers

cost price on the bushes (in Nolathane) wouldn't be more than $250ish - I wouldn't have thought. Monroe and that do replacement bump stops, I doubt there too much either. Might be wrong, but Falcon bushes usually arn't exy. Best way to find out is to0 ring Repco, Auto1, Bursons, Sparco, or who ever you guys have there and find out! Better still go into the shop as you'll get to talk to them a bit more.
You might want to figure out weather you want to replace with Urethane or Rubber bushes. Personally I like urethane, long lasting, keeps the suspension tighter, but rubber has a hgue fan base due to being softer...
I don't see why you can't replace the bushes yourself.

That's a pricey price. A lot of it would be labour.

yeah it's a bit rich on the price.
do it yourself if you have the knowledge, then get a wheel-alignment when you finish.

Doing the rubbers is pricey on labour.
Go polyurethane for shizzle.
You should be able to get a cheaper price then that, and do all the rubbers as well.

For one, the bushes aren't cheap. Secondly, it takes longer than 5 minutes to do all the pushes you mentioned.. Some of them need to be pressed in, and that's bloody difficult to do by hammer. Thus, I think the price is ok. But of course, ring around beforehand.

Hey, i had my suspension done by ford. They installed new front, back shocks and springs with new brushes and that cost $1100. It sounds about right. I had pedders shocks and lowered springs put in.
