Is this possible in an EL XR6?

and how much do you reckon it will cost?

I know this is a very grey area.

Cheers

deffinately possible

cost is hard to judge, those who have generally done it have gone the DIY route.

theres atleast 5 EF/EL's with IRS that i know of.
one is sitting in my back yard.

As above there has been a few IRS conversions; as far as I have seen into E series they have all been using AU gear, although there could well be BA set ups I am unaware of. Either way they both have similar handling characteristics, although the BA set up is a bit lighter (AU is a monster).

There was a build thread on here I thought that had quite a few pics of the process?

sweet thanks guys

at least I now know that it is possible.

but with changing the rear suspension, that would mean that the wheels are no longer in a Pre AU offset, so should one change the front as well to match?

Yes, you will have mixed up offset. There is no simple way to change this without getting custom LCA's made up or (I think) changing the K frame over to an AU one (I think mac_xr6 did this?).

Three words: c*ntish engineering costs.

LCA = lower control arms.

A few people have put BA/AU kframes into eseries aswell.

BBQBurner on boostedfalcon.net has done the front end, is in the middle of doing the IRS now.

look for phantom's wagon on here also, he's done the kframe change.

i'm planning on doing the kframe change soon too.

IRS can be done, floor was very similar between E and A's. some minor welding is needed
