hi all on saturday i will be picking up my svo lightning shift from mick webbs svo and i was just wanting peoples thoughts on them tha have installed them such as neo nick,. do they make much of a difference and do they actually make ur gear stick shorter as well.

your gear stick wont be any shorter but you will notice a huge difference in travel. Keep in mind they usually free up abit after some use

yeh i know theyre extremely tight when new even the sock ones r.
theres kits u can buy nyway to shorten the stick so thats no problem (id rather a shorter stick the factory 1 looks too high for my liking) have u actually used one before?

so it doesnt shorten ur gearstick any.
by the way how does ur car go since u put the manual in it. have ut aken it down the quarter yet?

If your thinking about shortening your stick think about the drivability not the looks. Been there done that, learnt the hard way

i know what u mean but i didnt mean i was gonna chop my stick theres an actual proper kit available. i look the look of the new hsv gearstick and they seem to shift alright.

i have a mick webb shifter in my car and the shift time is s**t loads less, you will notice a huge difference well worth the money
Its very stiff at first so expect to have a sore shoulder while the metal loosens up!
