how much work is involved in swapping an EF back to auto??
My car used to be an auto then had a t5 fitted with all the other bits n pieces.. Now i have a company car (BA XT) and my missus needs a car to drive. She is not confident with the manual, and im just asking the question - how hard is it to swap back over to auto - and how much $$. Of course, im thinking the best option is just make the woman learn how to drive a manual.... opinions??

No technical help here but i do understand your situation. My wife found the clutch was too damn heavy to use and hated driving the car. I ended up keeping the xr and buying her a new car (auto).

yeah - thinking of doin the same thing.....
My missus doesnt even have her drivers licence yet (and she's 21) so im thinking of getting a little s**t bomb auto to get her started. not a big fan of her 'learning' in my EF - imaging the dents and scratches

Buy her an ex taxi. Cheap and auto - dinged up already.
Pinch any reamining good parts for the xr - if there are any. |

You might find someone who'll do all the labour for free andsupply all the auto parts for free (from there car) in return for being allowed to then take all your old manual parts and fit them to there car. It'd beat paying $1000 for the conversion kit and then still having to fit it.
