Hi guys, can get hands on a Au Xr8 LSD IRS with a gear ratio of 3.45 i believe, i have a ef/el gli in the rear of my eb at the moment and looking at upgrading to a LSD, is it just a straight forward swap, providing the splines are the same? or what do i have to look out for?? cheers sean

mmm i pretty sure the IRS diffs are diff to the solid axles iirc
i could be wrong though if it was a solid axle it be a straight out swap

Yeah diff gears are a straight swap irs solid axle.

You can use an AU IRS centre in an E series live axles. Straight bolt in. the LSD is very slightly different with some small machining done to suit the IRS housing, but it is the same component otherwise.
I have put one in an EB before.

I have an EB open centre in my IRS AU. the difference is a circlip groove in the LSD housing.
