Hi Guys,

I recently got a sway bar installed. Its a whiteline adjustable job. When i hit potholes or go around a corner a bit fast it sounds like its clicking from side to side. I know that they have to be tightened after a few hundred k's and i did that today and its not helping. Any suggesstions?

Should not need any retightening. The "D" mounts should be tight. The link bars should only be tight enough that the bushes START to deform. Also the washers on the link bars should cup away from the bushes. If this is not the case the suspension shop in question is STUPID.

HAHAH u have the same tyres as me data mine and sway bar looks about the same too

yeah umm its not hitting anything and feels tight so im not sure whats happening but it didnt do it before i put the sway bar in.

Maybe the setting is too tight? The sway bar has 4 different notches to put it on and its on one before the tighest setting

anyone?

Springs, not too short? not fowling on the steering?

Make sure the "D" bushes are in fact the correct size - I had no dramas with my front adjustable bar, but after I fitted the rear one it was making noises - it took me AGES to discover that the "D" bushes they'd supplied were in fact too large (by only 1mm). Fitted the correct size bushes and she was apples.
