G'day,
I have a 96 EF11 Futura & I noticed when I was changing the brakes the other day that the sway bars seemed quick thick.
I have not seen another model to compare but was wondering what the standard size would be, 22mm?

Cheers

From memory, the 'S' packs, Futuras and fairmonts have a thicker sway bar. I don't remember what diameter they are, when I had to replace the sway bar rubbers on my EA I had to quote that it was a 'S' pack to get the right size.

No 'S' packs were replaced with Futuras, from EF onwards i think.

However I believe the sway bar for both 'S' packs & Futuras is the same throughout all 'E's

Probably easier to source and cheaper than Guinuine Ford Gt stuff, to get a White line one, prolly get an even thicker one through them to.

Yep - go to the Whiteline site and check out their catalogue listings - they show all the models of Falcon with the bar specifications - also they list their adjustable ones too.

I just had a look at the Whiteleine site & they say the XR6T has 24mm front & 19mm rear sway bar. If this is correct then I doubt The EF Falcon would have a 26mm sway bar standard being a non preformance vehicle.

I am only going off what the Whiteline web site said so please don't shoot me if I'm wrong :?

Go to the wreckers and get a 29mm swaybar of an XH Ute.

There is more to a swaybar than it's thickness. The BA's had a whole new rear suspesnsion. It depends on the arm lengths too. Which is what witeline do to have adjustable swaybars.
