hi guys, well it seems in the very near future (inspecting 2 cars this weekend) i may be swapping my ba for a g6e or g6e turbo, and i was wondering if any of the ba goodies were transferable. ive found out the exhaust wont trade up. im currently runing front and back whiteline sway bars on the ba, will they fit an fg? and will the extractors fit? also does anyone know if the fg still runs the crappy ford 5x7's? i know this is all in the driveline section, but it saves me writing a new message for each section.

as far as i know the FG are not the same, but to make sure i would line the ba one up under the car and have a look to see how it will fit.

Let us know how you go

The Exhaust manifolds are the same for Standard BA/BF and FG so, I guess you could use your extractors. The front suspension on an FG is WAY different to your BA therefore, I would say your Sway Bar for the front is a no go as is your shocks and springs.

As to the 5x7 I am guessing you are referring to door speakers? if so, they DON'T use them anymore, they use round ones again in front and rear doors.

ok well im waiting for finance to get back to me tommorow on a g6e. does anyone know the size of the fg front and rear speakers? i have a set of mtx splits here collecting dust that may be of use in it. also have a set of 6x9's but doubt they would fit the parcel shelf. the bloke at pedders told me he thinks the sway bars are different, hes getting confirmation and new prices for me tommorow. if the cat and extractors are interchangeable, then thats going to be the first thing to be done.
