Might be a bit of hassle, but i might try blue-tac and fill the grooves in blue tac... I haven't painted mine yet, hopefully this week i will.

would be much easier to paint 'em with the off the car, so you can have them horizontal, then just paint away, then afterwards fill in the groves with another colour.

Nice one fuzzy ! I didn't know the rears were 300mm

I think I might have to find me some of them...anyone know if DBA do them...and can you use the same rear calipers as found on standard EF/EL 's ? I would presume the uprights would be different for the rear setup ?

AFAIK there'd be no uprights on the rear seeing the disc and mounts etc sit straight on the diff :?:

However, they extra size (13mm larger overall) could possibly mean you'd need to change the rear caliper mounts.....not sure. Honestly I doubt the difference between 300 and the std 287mm discs would warrant the change.

Aren't they 2 pots on the back? That'd be why you'd upgrade them.

They are still single-pot on the rears. Did you get the rear setup off a BA, as didn't the EL GT's still run 287s at the back?

I spoke to another guy, that has done it and he did this:
Quote:
You have to sand it back out or paint it back in

Must be a very fine sand, the grooves aren't that wide. :?

i am planning to take the calipers off to spray them lol..
that wasnt the question, was the tickford emblem .. :P

the rears i thought were 297 stock? .. the only differnce on the rear is slightly larger rotor at 300mm and same caliper just different ford bracket thats allh.

steve, the rears are the same as the rear and front rotors u'd order from dba or ebc for the au brembo/tickford package .. 330 from and 300 rears, will fit on perfectly

I will post up close up photos of the rear/front rotors and calipers tomorrow or tuesday for you guys.

And will give my calipers a try-spray on tues/weds and see how i go with the emblem.. other thought was to get a fine paint brush and some touchup white paint and carefully paint it? not sure how ill go yet!

I'm confused. Tickford had 330mm up front (twin-piston), and 287mm at the rear (single piston). Are you sure you have 300mm rear discs?

New BA model, have 300mm discs at the rear (single piston).
