I am about to replace the outer 'Cross Axis Ball Joints' on my SX territory - one on the Upper Control Arm (UCA) and the other on the Rear Lower Control Arm (RLCA). Both sides, both because the vehicle failed a rego inspection! I'll be leaving the Forward Lower Control Arms for now, but the part for this is identical to the UCA.

I picked these parts up from pedders for $65 each. The parts are UCA:402001 and RLCA:402002.

I started with questions from here: http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11291396 - but will take photos and place them in this thread since it's easier to manage DIY threads on this site (on-site storage, long term editing etc)

I do have a new workshop press at home, but I'm going to try and rig up a tool with threaded bar and sockets to try and let me do it without removing arms from the car.
