Hi Forum,
I am due to have the auto transmission in my ED V8 serviced with the idea of a possible rebuild / upgrade. Is there anyone in Sydney who knows there way around this 4-speed auto with regard to getting the best performance out of them? Rather than saying to me "Just get a C4!" First off, I know I need my S5 solenoid checked out. Is the adjustable pressure 'AU' version worth fittment? I was thinking perhaps I could wind the pressure up to somewhere between the existing 'Economy' and 'Power' shift, and then when flick to power I have a firmer shift than I currently have in the 'Power' position. Is this possible with using the 'AU' solenoid? Secondly, I would like to consider a possible box strengthen / rebuild complete with torque convertor to suit the occasional towing and also the near-stock 5.0L with 125HP Nitrous kit at the 'Creek. Any hints or tips? Cheers,

I reckon you should speak to Joe at Crescent Motorsport in Liverpool. Joe is capable of sorting out a 4spd box that would probably eat your 5.0
