Seems to be a common thing that they loosen slightly after lowering the car too. So you install the springs, bolt the shocks back up, put the car down, drive it a bit and they are loose. Happened to a few people I know, Krisisdog is right, they really have to be tight.

I've got rid of nearly all the suspension noises and the handling is better than any car I've owned. (mostly just lowered XR kit and lovells springs)
There was one tiny clatter that showed up when there was steering vibrations and I just realised last night that this was coming from the steering column under the dash somewhere.. (sadly I realised this only after pulling out the swaybar pivit bushes and various other things.) The clatter doesn't seem to be coming from the steering shaft uni's under the bonnet as they have no slop.. so my question is... Does the steering shaft/column under the dash have bearings circlips or whatever somewhere that might have come loose or whatever and caused this??? ta Frank |
