you would need the t5 belhousing to suit an x series, an e series one wont fit.

I have a t5 with xseries bellhousing here i need to get rid of, so make me an offer and it's yours, however I'm in sydney, where are you?

everthing is the same , except bellhousing and gear box mount. these are available from www.rodshop.com.au for about $300 new(bellh) and brackets are also available from ford brand new for about $25 (i think they still sell them, bought mine about 3 year ago)

you can use a 4spd borgwarner bell housing off an xe or xf and i think the box has provisions for the mounts off the 4spd and everything else should be the same.
i had this setup in my xf
