Do these plugs have reverse threads or what? Im hammering the f**k out of the drain plug and for the love of god does not want to come off !!

When i refit the plugs (once i get the C*** off), do i apply any sealant?

lol they were normal threads, the local exhaust bloke let me use his hoist made it alot easier.

Out went Dexron III and in went Transmax Z, best money ever spent..... gearbox is smoother & quieter than its ever been

Just use some pipe or a jack handle over your allen key - increasing the torque effort - much easier.
Keep the hammer away preferably.

I've always found they are on really tight too. I think you are only meant to tighten to about 25-30 Nm. No sealant should be needed.

I use Loctite 567 Pipe thread sealant for bungs like them, and they still come out easy, cos it has Teflon in it to help stop binding.
