what is everyone running in their T5?
I know Ford recommend ATF but after getting a quote on oil change and asking what they use he mentioned 75 grade gear oil, is it wise to go against whats in the manual? Car is a BF XR6 if that makes any difference. |

I run Castrol Transmax Z ATF in mine. Seems to do the job, and for the price, it should.

Depending on the condition of the box, and being in a BA/BF, using a 75W- light gear oil, will make it hard to change gears when cold.
