Ford T5's have a shorter input shaft.

XF T5's are the same as EA's I believe and are pretty common.

Becareful, they're are 2 types of 5sp boxes for the XF. The T5 one is regarded as the Heavy Duty unit. The other is the Light Duty unit and are smaller in overall size. I think they used them in the XE series too.

The lighter duty 5 speed is actually the 4 speed unit with 5th added. It has external linkages. The Genuine t5 does not.

The one you talking about, does it have the shafts mounted horizontally?

I just checked out the Light duty 4sp and the Light duty 5sp, they have XE part numbers, and they don't have external linkages.
The old Single rail 4sp is called a Heavy duty 4sp.
