I have a possible problem with XH ute. With the rear wheels off ground and on axle stands the rotating of the wheels doesnt rotate the tailshaft but does rotate the opposite wheel. Put the car in gear and the tailshaft drives the wheels. Do these diffs require some kind of load to engage properly or is this a sign the pinion to crown wheel teeth are stuffed. From what i can see its not LSD just conventional 3.23 gears according to the sticker

Thats what all open diffs do so its fine. Im pretty sure if you leave one wheel on the ground and lift one side it will spin the tail shaft, I could be wrong though.
