Hasnt anyone seen mythbusters? It doesnt flip the car! At least, not in america. They even had trouble trying to get it to dig into the ground. Not sure why it didnt spin to the side but?

I don't know about Myth busters but an old holdern snaped a tailshaft and it tore the car apart and killed the 5 passangers. The found the tail shaft dug into the road then flipped the car the motor was 150 metres from the front of the car and the rear was 70 mtrs from the front.

It can happed just not a offen sat 1 in 20 that the tail shaft or uni brake but I think it would be the front uni or front area of the shaft.

apparantly EH's were pretty bad for breaking tailshafts - my mate who owns an EH wagon, said he'd heard of it a few times

just fixed my car allmost no damage to the floor pan a few little dints in the exhaust, broke one fuel line clamp,so all in all i was lucky, but i did notice the balancer thing at the front of the shaft was cracked through and had spun wich would put the tail shaft right out of balance im guessing,i think only wagons had the balancer, but if you got one might be worth having a quick look at its condition, either that or basically i had been going a bit quick on a back road and my wagon is fairly low, maybe shock from hitting bump stops, lol dont know just dont want it to happen again (to anyone) but i do have a 3 peice tailshaft for a eb wagon if anyone wants one lol
