I am trying to take the auto out of my AU but am having a problem.
2 Questions.. 1. Does the universal joint at the diff have a 15 mm bolt with 18 mm nut as standard fitting? 2. Is it always easier to lift an elephant with your d**k as it is to undo the previously mentioned 15/18 mm nut and bolt please no saying that it is easy to lift an elephant with your d**k cos I was already getting the answers in my head as I typed it. lol the nut is really tight and was wondering if they are always like that Thanks in advance to those that are ford brained enuff to help me out yet again Legends the lot of you

yes they are normally 15 and 18mm..
the reason they are so tight, other than being tight..lol they are loctited from factory.. i recently un did one on an eb that had never been off, i sprayed them with wd40 then i still couldnt un do them. so i got a rattle gun on it, that got them off.... |

lol it's fun isn't it! I was fortunate to have to do it again for my mums RTV two days ago. I don't miss doing it.. WD40, two spanners as mentioned and a rubber mallet. Probably takes 5-10 minutes each but you'll get there. Just make sure your spanner is on properly or you'll round them.

Well the bolts are undone guys.
Well I have to say that that was the tightest nuts I have had the pleasure to undo. I think for future reference for people that need to undo them....get the car on a hoist or jack it up 6 foot in the air and use a fuuuurken big piece of pipe as a fulcrum Me and the boy that helped both busted a poopoo valve And I think I tore a few strands of muscle in my right arm. Note to self......ring mr ford and tell him that whoever said to use blue loctite is a d***head. Go back to the red man. Easier on the arms...lol Thanks for the info guys
