Hi, new to the forum, been reading for a few months now

I am just wondering how (if possible) to test a manual t5 gearbox while its out of the car?

Reason i ask, is because im currently doing a project (rebuilding an AU 250) and when i buy a ef to put it in, im almost certain that it will have a auto box.

Most gearbox's I've seen for sale are sold 'untested' and with no warranty..plus i don't want to fit the thing, then find out its s**t..


So is there a way to find out if the gearbox is gone while its sitting on the ground?
