I checked my tire pressures today at bp with the automatic air thing. You set the psi, attach the hose and it automatically fill it to the preset until it beeps. Then you remove the hose and get a whoosh sound. Now all my tires were fine except the left rear one. It couldn't determine psi, first it would say like 6 momentarily, then go back up to the 30 preset, no beep and when i removed the hose, no whoosh, so it basically doesnt think there is a tire there. So I held the hose tightly against the nozzle and the reader said error.. could I have a faulty valve or tire? The tire itself looks proprly inflated.

probably a valve screwed in too far and the hose cannot connect properly

some valves have a shorter pin in them. Go to your local tyre shop and ask if they can change the valve core for you. They most likley do it for fr5ee.
