I lowered the BA last weekend to aprox 10mm lower than the GT height.
but..... now I am having a few problems with hitting the mudflaps on big bumps a 100km/h+, the problem isn't the shocks being too soft, but just the actual size of the mudflaps. Do the GT's use different ones, or do they suffer from this problem too? I am just concerned that the skirts may be ripped form the car if I hit them too hard. cheers kenny

Just take em off, would look better without them. and the quicker u take them off, the less paint damage there will be from them rubbing on paint

the only problem is that i do so many kms & on the EL that it had it ended up with so many stone chips behind the wheels. besides , if they were a little smaller it actually looks quite good with them on there, i'm not a big fan of mudflaps myself but they just look 'in place'

You'll eventually rub the paint off under the flaps if you keep scraping them, which will cause rust.

Yep, my EL XR rusted this way.. got the same problem wit mine... the flaps rub and cut into the paintwork all the way till its on metal then water gets trapped bahind them and starts rust |

a bit of double sided tape between the surfaces usually sorts that out, providing there is no exposed metal, otherwise it will hold water

Do you have the mud spats kenny? I cant remember when i saw your car. As i think the mud spats were an option. As they are really slim lined and small.

yeah, I just had a look at them earlier and noticed how small they are, I don't think trimming them is an option so maybe I will have to sacrafice that little bit of comfort, or get bigger wheels hmmm she'd look pretty nice with a set of 20" chomies

From what i know the mud spats are plastic not rubber like previous models. Cant remember exactly, but then again they are moulded, so cutting them would most likely look pretty s**t.
