hi guys, soon enough i'm going to have around 220rwKW, in a standard EL falcon. i'm getting the intercooler and all that but am somewhat worried about the high, loose rear end of my car. pedders have quoted 1150 to get it lowered with performance in mind, i was hoping there would be a cheaper option??? i'm living in melbourne, any hints?

BOZZ, if you have nothing to contribute in these tech sections then don't say anything.
Take it to Off Topic.

Yeah thats seems way to expensive. f**k I would want them to suck me d**k as well for that price and with a Smile. I would of thought near 600-700 to do shocks and all

Briggs,

I take it you are going for the Pedder's Sport's Ryder's??? That would cost around $600-700. Are you getting shock's also???

For the price you have been quoted I would expect spring's, shock's and/or camber kit's.

I had my car lowered reacently by Pedders. It cost me $1000 for the Sport's Ryder's and Camber Kit's.

Bit more info on what Pedder's are actually providing for that amount would help us determine if it's a good price or not.

So, is it spring's, shock's and/or camber kit's or just spring's???

Vic, Bozz has a very good point with what he was doing. Alot of guy's go the cheap way and cut their spring's. Not recommended at all. Bozz pointed out the end result by being cheap and cutting corner's.

Hey mate, it depends on where in Melb you are, but if you're in the Western Suburbs, try Tyrepower Sunshine. They're extremely good on prices and they'll put in whatever brand of spring shock you need at a great price. Definately give them a try...

Actually sticking up a crash picture in an area that is not Off Topic is exactly what I'm referring to. Brigg's didn't write that this was his intention. If you wanna imply someone's incapable of driving or being unable to control their car by way of implied dodgy backyard shenaigans then do it in the Off Topic area where it can be commented on.
As ever where you are concerned Frank, keep talking. I always yawn when I am interested.

I got my suspension done with a full whiteline kit. superlow springs, shocks, camber/castor kit, sway bars - the works.

$2,200 - but worth every cent.

Antoher thing to think of with regards to handling is wheels/tyres. A nice wide set of rubber will compliment a suspension package.

I did my suspension first, and then found the pissy 205/65R15 were then the limiting factor (even with quality rubber). Moved up to 235/45R17 and haven't looked back - usually sideways :).
