Maybe consider changing the hose. I was having trouble with mine leaking at the back of the pump where the hose joined. I replaced the seal with genuine fraud one, same deal (and $5.00 for the little POS), replaced the hose and no more damas.

The oring goes where the green highlighted bit you done is. Where it is in the picture, you will see a little tiny hole under it. This needs to be unblocked.
Also, the thick and thin o-rings are for the age of your pump. Take my two cars for example....see sig.... The Mont has the thinner o-ring as its newer and runs a pressure valve that suits those thin ones. The thick ones suit the XE next to the Mont. Also, if you have an internal leak, meaning one of the mid size rings inside, have s**t them selves, toomuch pressure building up inside and blowing the valve one. Hope that makes sense.

Nah I was thinking more and another think you can check is also the valve itself.
Behind the nut that your having problems with is the valve. then a spring. leave the spring alone and clean out the valve thoroughly.

ill just throw it in here. save starting a new thread
my ps is leaking. after a drive if i touch under the high pressure line bolts i get a finger full of oil. is it worth just doing the o-ring first and see if that fixes it? and what o ring will it be? the rear nut or the one on the pump? also, workshop manual says to use pipe-spanners or similar. is this a must? i dont have any so if thats the case itll be a to the mechanics job.

If your touching JUST the high press hose, then it will most likely just be the o-ring on the hose.
The one on the nut will leak reguardless if you touch it or not.(if its screwed) By pipe spanners im assuming they just mean open enders.....as a ring spanner you won't get over the hose....etc etc

a pipe is spanner is like a normal ring spanner but it has one segment cut out of it,,for these fittings i highly recommend them as they wont round the nuts off.

Sorry to bump an old thread but does anyone know the part number for this oring?
Just went down to covernty's and their diagram didn't show this oring - closest thing was some solid plastic one. Can you buy it separately or is it in the rebuild kit? Would a generic oring that fits do the job?
