just checking if its ok to put tq95 into a 1994 Ef auto? It says on it that its to be used on all Ford 4 speeds, and I had bought it for an El I had, and from memory El auto's had to have it and not normal auto trans fluid, but I dont know about the Ef's. Will end up being half a litre from dipstick reading

Its says on the bottle " suitable for all Ford 4 speed auto transmissions. Not suitable for 3 speed transmissions", so you would think so but I remember hearing that Ford had Castrol make the tq95 for the new auto in the EL's, so what the difference between tq95 and standard auto fluid I dont know. It also says suitable for Power steering fluid too, and all auto fluid is so the difference has be rooted

For the six cylinder, Ford switched from the 91LE to the 93LE starting with EF, so EF and EL both use the same auto and same fluid. I believe all the BTR 4-speeds use the same fluid anyway.

Here's another thread on the subject:

Just don't use Dexron III in the BTR 4 speed autos.

Thanks guys, ended up doing some research and found that the btr's should use the tq95, so it ended up being the right one to use. Lucky because I was going to buys some dextron to top it up because I thought the tq95 was for el on
