Hi I have traction control on my XR6T. I think it cuts fuel when you start spinning the rears.
Anyhow, If you put the boot in, car takes off, when boost comes on, you get thae cut out and then power is back on again. If I keep the foot into it, the car does its splutter thing and then gets back on the power. But then the traction control light stays on and then traction control is off until you switch off the car and restart. Its like its offended and says well if you dont want my help then bugger off. From there on there is no traction control until you stop and restart the car. Is that how they are supposed to work?? a bit strange...

I don't know why this is in 6 cylinder workshop, but when you have more power, the power the traction control is designed to cut is no longer enough to stop wheelspin, so it loses the plot and goes into fault.

Its a problem with your edit, your tuner probably didnt play around with the traction control peramiters. Talk to your tuner he should beable to fix it...

Stealing the thread hear...
just wondering is the any hardware components of traction control...? (Over stock ABS) because the manual just makes it out to be a extra program that uses ABS components...i guess I'm asking apart from a traction control button what would it take to add traction control to a car fitted with ABS (AU - BF)

Correct.. mine does the same thing but I havn't bothered to get it retuned yet, as it doesn't really bother me enormously. I personally think the traction control can do more harm then good in some situations so I usually turn it off if I'm going to give it a boot.
