Hey Guys

Just need some advice on what do to with fixing wheel spin lol..
im thinking either LSD or Minispool or something similar. the car atm has NO traction in first and changing into second.. can't make fast starts off the line, and its terrible in the wet. Even in the dry going around a corner and flooring it out it just spins even at 100kms/hr...
Its single spinner atm. I have classic 15" stock ford wheels with goodyear 215s.
So i need grip under power..
i should be getting new shocks in the near future along with sway bars :)

thanks guys.

Get a complete disc-to-disc diff out of an EF with LSD (XR, EFII Ghia etc. etc.)
If you get the Ghia or XR6 one you might be lucky and get 3.45 gears as well.
Cheapest and easiest way.

Id opt for the LSD, you'll start breaking things with a spool lol.

As Steady said, hunt around for a complete 3.45 LSD out out an XR or Ghia in reasonable condition. It would cheaper to replace the whole diff than just get a LSD thrown into your diff now.

Another thing would be to get some good rubber wrapped around those rims. I dunno what the widest width tyre you could fit on those rims though. If you can fit a decent pair of 235's at the rear on the 15" rims you'll be sweet

either your car is a massive powa making monster, or you have serious suspension issues or s**t tyres

i cant say ive ever had wheelspin at 100kph, or couldnt get traction in 1st gear and i had 3.7 in the diff single spinner

thanks for the help guys.. i was going to just get a minispool... but if it starts breaking things then i wont..
looks like it will be a LSD, i wanted to keep the ratios the same, so just get a LSD centre?

also fordfairmont.. it has shlt loads of torque midrange, and out of a corner at 100 it does at WOT.
In first at any more than 75% throttle it just spins its crazy, standard 3.08 ratio..
Tyres are Ok.. suspension is pretty s**t that why i have to get new shocks.

Buying an LS centre and getting it fitted costs more then buying a complete disc-to-disc in my experience.
Granted it's a bit of lucky dip in regards to condition.
But if you want a rebuilt LS centre installed, be prepared to pay a fair bit more.
