well just a bit of useless information, i got sick of not having a dipstick in my au,s ive had so decided to puy one in, wasnt as hard as i thort . an a hell of a lot easyer to fill afta service

yeh they are same box as ef/el, once u take trans sump off an look up ull see where the hole is/was.shud be. ford just dont cast it wen making the boxs . just drill trough from under its real thin, then finish off with round file. i pickd up a ef dipstick from wreckers. sooo easy to fill an check now.

So you did it with the box fitted in situ ??
It's been posted here in the past to turn the box upside down and drill your hole. Main consideration of course is cleanliness and removal of metal shavings/filings.

yeh did with box in , al shaving fell downward, , i did nice a getle too. taook time .
