For those that know and can help me out, my car has been starting in high RPMS for a few weeks. Normal start and idle is at 900RPMS for my Ford, which is a 94 EF 4 spd automatic. It has been starting up at 1100 to 1200 RPMS and climbs slowly, which means I switch it off before it reaches 1500RPMS. The RPM needle also climbs higher and faster than the speedo needle does. When braking I can feel a shuddering or a vibration, which appears to start at the front and travels to the back. When putting it in Park, the RPMS shoot for 3000RPMs but I switch it off before it can get that high. There are days when it will start at normal, but it mostly starts at the RPMS I described. I know my inhibitor switch needs to be replaced, but what could be making the car start in high RPMS and go even higher in Park, and what is causing the shuddering? Thanks in advance for the help!
