Hi
I'm in the process of installing a tranny cooler on my EA.
It has the old 3 speed slush box.

Question .....
I'm not sure what the line pressures are like on this transmission.
I don't have a flaring tool for the cut line(s), plus it could be difficult to use
on the line still in place on the car.
Is it really necessary to flare the line before putting the hose on ??
If I put about 2-3 inches of hose on the line and use a couple of clamps,
will this be sufficient ??

Thanks

The auto tranny cooling line pressures are about 25 to 30 psi and hose clamps ( 2 each per end ) will do fine.
