The info used to be on the old fordforums, but a cursory glance at that site suggests that the info has been lost forever.
Will see what i can find. I know its been brought to light on Fordmods before, but not sure if that was in its current life. Watch this space...

Alrighty... should get you on the right path:
http://www.fordmods.com/forums/viewtopi ... ght=manual But, have a search... try specifying Bozz as the username, as he did a lot of work around this and posted some good, conclusive results. The basic jist of it is... make the ECU think that the gear selector is in N... and make the ECU think that trans temperature is acceptable (and hence, thermofans will operate as intended). Good luck Post up how you go.

Hi matey, check out this post, there is a great doco with photos on how to do the ecu modification. Cheers to Jaysen for creating the doco in the first place.

Both my cars are running tricked ECU's (Tickford LPG ECU's are auto only). I've found they run great.
An option with mounting the resistors is to solder them to the wires in the round plug (gearbox loom side) - cut the wires with a couple of cms length from the plug back, and plug this into the engine bay side round plug. Less mess, and a reliable connection.
