hi all, ive had the 'check abs' light come on, but am unsure on where to strat in regards to fault diagnosis. thing is sometimes in doesnt come on but when i slam the brakes abs doesnt work as it should.

any tips on how to diagnose

intermittent huh ... if you were an ef/el I could check my book, but not ED. Check the abs ring on each wheel, sensors etc ... otherwise maybe head in to your local ford dealer for some help

they wanted $110 so they could get a tester/scanner thingo from some other place. this is not including labour and repair. i think i will leave it as is for now brakes stil work :lol:

Ask the ford dealer from who they get this scanner/tester, and then go to that workshop directly :)

This really sucks for a ford or any dealer to charge a customer to get a peice of test equipment that they should already have in the workshop. How can they justify charging $70-$80 per hour if you have to pay to get the test equipment in when it's needed - next it will be a seperate charge cause they have to use a spanner when doing their job. A r s e h o l e s .
