Hi guys,

Sick of killing LSD's in my XR6......Borg Warners are a piece of s**t! Dont wanna run a locker or a spool, just wanted to know if anyone has/is running a TRUE TRAK centre? i heard there fantastic, but really expensive. But virtually bulletproof. i know someone running one in a 64 chev belair and he hasnt killed it

might also wanna check out the "Lock Right", i've heard good things about them. and they aren't always locked, like when you do a U-turn the wheels aren't going to squeel because it would have unlocked. but boot the throttle and it will lock up. can probably get them for around the 500 mark plus fitting.

You could either go a KAAZ (clutch pack LSD, super expensive, but awesome) or a 4WD Systems Lokka. The Lokka is around $500+ fitting, but they don't wear out. AFAIK 2 members here have Lokka's fitted to cars, I am one, and EVL098 is the other. I love mine, and IIRC EVL enjoys having his aswell!

Yep I have the Richmond gear lock right in mine. Something tells me they call them a tru trak as well? Actually just checked and they are a Powertrax.
All I can say is they rock. Just like driving an LSD normally but absolutley brilliant when you want to get up it. No more single peggers from this little black duck.
Yeah I give mine a bit of a hard time.................LOL

yeh but with a 4wd lokka its on a switch isnt it? i kinda dont really plan on doin skids or hangin it out....its just happens.......really dont wanna flick a switch all the time. and ill want it on all the time. and i dont really want a locker coz i dont wanna break any axles. is it the same principle as in a 4xd? coz u cant drive with them on all the time..............

Its not an air locker its a mechanical locker actuates on load, not air. No switch

Send them an email, they do stock them. I got mine from a boostedfalcon group buy a few years ago. The guys that do them are 4WD Systems. Mine has been in my XR8 for 18 months now.

I run a detriot tru-trac center to the borg-warner 78 in my auII 1tonne ute. I purchased it from harrod engineering. I'm running 3.7 gears behind a vortec supercharged 5.0 lt. It cost me $1700 and is the best money I ever spent. The things bulletproof. My mate fitted a 4wd locker to his V8 VN commodore and pulled it out after a week because it was so noise he couldn't stand it.
